CHF

The Consumers Health Forum of Australia is the national peak body working to achieve safe, quality, timely healthcare and improved understanding of our health system for all Australians. CHF had a dated website in need of a total revamp both in terms of navigation structure and visual design so that it would be more manageable for the organisation to maintain their digital presence and offer critical information to consumers.
To begin the project I ran both a content and UX workshop to uncover key user types and needs around what content would be crucial to include on the website. As it would be a chance to start from a clean slate and total rework of the content it was really important to make sure we did a good job setting this part of the project up for success.
The new IA that was developed would create a flexible way forward for the team to take into the future and make it much more manageable to add content to different parts of the site. Using landing pages that offered more context into each part of the site would offer more assistance for people trying to navigate through terms and categories they might not be familiar with.
The visual treatment had a much needed redesign within the limitations of the project. Expanding the signature green and purple brand colours to include additional shades of each allowed more strategic use through the site, and along with the addition of a brand font to add more character, gave much more colour and warmth when paired with photography that would hero the consumers CHF serves.
